“Mott MacDonald had a stunning year in the international market,” said the judges, “for the first time earning more overseas than in the UK and underlying its role as a genuinely global player.”

Chairman Peter Wickens received the award on Mott MacDonald's behalf at the ceremony in London’s Claridges Hotel which was hosted by NCE editor Antony Oliver who commended Mott MacDonald for our “unswerving commitment to the global market.”

Congratulations also go to Gareth Evans from our Transnet team in South Africa for reaching the hard-fought ranks of the four Young Consultant of the Year finalists – described as epitomising “the creativity, diversity and technical ability that the engineering and consultancy profession needs.” In praise of Gareth the judges said: “His focus on developing effective client relationships and his desire to challenge established practices and improve knowledge sharing are highly commendable.”

Mott MacDonald was also runner-up in the Major Firm category of the company awards which are based on submissions to NCE’s Consultants File, an annual insight into the health and wealth of the civil engineering consultancy market.
